1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
I learned to knit in 4-H at the age of seven. I couldn't quite read the patterns at that age, so I started designing my own patterns for my fashion dolls and my pet dog.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
Mainly sweaters, but I make all of the others things that knitters make.
3 What are you most known for?
This is a hard one. I do them all, from easy beginner to modular, and I love cables.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
Many times thoughts come in the middle of the night, but mostly if I just look at the yarn I can "vision" something.
5 What season inspires you the most?
Definitely spring. I love to go outside and knit. It's peaceful and I get so inspired!
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
Honestly, probably 30 - 40.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
I think I've tried them all! I still take a break and do other things.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
If it's warm, I take my two cats outside and knit. If not, I usually knit and then make some kind of traditional big Sunday dinner.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Yarn, needles and my gismo bag (meaning darning needles, crochet hooks, etc)
