1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?

My mom taught me hand sewing/stitchery at a very young age. I became interested in creative sewing as an adult living in Hawaii.

2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?

I enjoy projects that celebrate home and family, designs that please children, and gifts to give to friends.

3 What are you most known for?

I love working with quilting cottons, mixing colors and prints. It's almost painful shopping for the right colors and prints, but once I've found them I think, "Wow, that was fun!"

4 How do you jump-start your creativity?

Looking at fabric is my passion.

5 What season inspires you the most?

Fall, with all its colors, traditions and celebrations.

6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?

Ten to twelve. One project always suggests another.

7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?

Not really. Everything fabric is enough for me.

8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

I love the adventure of working on a new project. I sketch, cut paper shapes and dig through my fabric stash.

9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?

Thread cutters, a seam gauge and a seam ripper. Next to fabric, I love my collection of rulers!
