Design Specialty: knitting simple yet contemporary designs from socks to sweaters
1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
My mother taught me in elementary school. She was the Campfire leader and taught us all how to knit.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
My passion is designing sweaters. Hats are second runner-up.
3 What are you most known for?
Probably my two-end "tvåändsstickning" twined hats. It has been a craze for about four years now with no signs of it slowing down.
4 What season inspires you the most?
Fall and winter. I can't get enough pumpkin spice, chocolate brown and all of the shades of gray that the fall yarns bring. I also love cashmere, angora and just pure wool that can only be worn in the winter months.
5 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
Between 10 and 15 designs a year.
6 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
Spinning intrigues me but I'm still too obsessed with knitting to break away long enough to learn something new.
7 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Having a lazy day with my family, playing in the garden, swatching up new ideas and drinking tea all day long.
8 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Pencil and scratch paper to sketch, draft up patterns and two projects to toggle between.
