1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
I started cross-stitching when I was a young girl, but the first biscornu I made was in 2007, and I just loved them so much I had to design my own.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I love anything to do with gardens and nature, because I am a plant person at heart.
3 What are you most known for?
Curiosity. I love to learn, I love to study new things and jump into new projects. I find myself interested in everything.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
I have my own library of gardening books, and I find them a fantastic resource. I also read up on historical embroidery at the public library, too.
5 What season inspires you the most?
Spring, because everything is fresh and new, and full of possibilities. Plus, I love the rain.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
Probably two a month, so about 24 per year.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
Woodwork and furniture making --my grandfather built furniture, and I would love to do that.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Reading one of the many books stacked by my bedside table. My sisters always have fantastic recommendations, and I belong to multiple book groups.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Paper and pencil, to jot down ideas, and my latest embroidery project -- they go with me everywhere.
