1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?

My mom has been crocheting my entire life. She first taught me to crochet when I was 8 years old. It was really confusing for me, being left-handed, and Mom is right-handed. I have been playing with yarn ever since.

2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?

I design a lot of different things, but I think my favorite items are baby booties and infant photo prop sets. They are so tiny and quick to work up, that I usually fall in love with them before they are even finished.

3 What are you most known for?

Probably my Crocodile Stitch Booties or my Shelf Elf.

4 How do you jump-start your creativity?

Getting new yarn is always a great motivator! I see all the pretty, new colors and the huge variety -- ideas just start exploding in my head!

5 What season inspires you the most?

I'd actually have to say winter is the most inspiring because it's cold and I just want to wrap up in my yarn.

6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?

I am always designing, and usually have 1 or 2 new designs a week. So, at least 50 new designs a year on average.

7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?

Yes -- I really want to start playing with polymer clay!

8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Crocheting or playing on my computer, unless it's a really nice day; then we take the kids to the park, go on nature hikes, or just have fun family time.

9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?

At least one skein of yarn (sometimes up to 3), several hooks (usually F, G and H) and a pair of scissors!
