1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?

As a young girl, my stepmother taught me a lot of different crafts, and stamped cross-stitch was one of them. When I got older, I discovered counted cross-stitch. I was worried at first because there was nothing on the fabric to follow, but I jumped in and fell in love with it.

2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?

I enjoy designing bright and colorful patterns the most.

3 What are you most known for?

I've really just gotten started, but I hope I'll be known for bright, colorful designs that are accessible to all stitchers.

4 How do you jump-start your creativity?

I can jump-start my creativity by simply observing things, whether I see a color combination on TV or I see something in nature while driving to the store.

5 What season inspires you the most?

All seasons inspire me, but I would say spring inspires me the most with all the flowers and colors.

6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?

I have plenty of ideas, but on average, I would say I can design about 10 to 12 per year.

7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?

I would love to learn hardanger/drawn thread.

8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

I love spending time making homemade pizza and playing games with my husband and my son.

9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?

I always have my sketchbook, colored pencils and my camera.
