1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
My mother taught me at age 10, when the friendship bracelets were in style, as a way to make mine different from the other girls.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I love hats because they are quick and I like the instant gratification of making something in a day.
3 What are you most known for?
My Breezy Beanie pattern.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
I get out the yarn, look at all the colors, feel them and see what happens.
5 What season inspires you the most?
Winter! Crocheted hats obviously go best in winter.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
Two or three, although I've done more. Depends on my mood, I don't force it.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
I actually do quite a few different ones already (drawing, photography, sewing, etc.), and I think my husband would commit me if I picked up another. I have always wanted to try glass fusing.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Creating, whatever the current obsession might be.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Crochet hooks, pencil and sketchbook.
