Read more about this wonderful designer below.
1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
At the age of 12, I discovered a long-forgotten "How to Crochet" book in the living room closet and promptly began to teach myself to crochet! Shortly thereafter, I learned how to knit from a library book.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
To be honest, it's whatever I'm doing at the moment. My mind thrives on change, so I might be designing a cable knit wool hat on one day and a lace crochet silk shawl on the next.
3 What are you most known for?
The novel use of pattern stitches and clear, comprehensive written instructions.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
I scan all the wonderfully creative work on Pinterest and Ravelry. And eat chocolate.
5 What season inspires you the most?
I enjoy what every season has to offer.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
Lately, I've been averaging 35-40 patterns a year.....and I'm exhausted!
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
I'd love to learn how to weave someday.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
When you run a business, every day is a work day, so Sunday afternoon is no different than Monday afternoon. (But I love what I do.)
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Believe it or not, I don't own any craft bags. My whole house is my "craft bag" since all my works-in-progress are strewn throughout.
