Read more about this wonderful designer below.
1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
My mom and grandma both have crocheted as long as I can remember. My mom taught me when I was 10, and I haven't stopped since.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I began designing infant dresses, and though I try to spread out my creativity now and then, I usually end up making more dresses. Maybe because I have 4 girls.
3 What are you most known for?
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
My ideas begin in various ways. Sometimes a color sparks a design, other times the yarn cries out, "Do something with me!" My little girls also give me ideas.
5 What season inspires you the most?
Right now, most of my designs are geared to winter months. I am trying to add a variety, though, because my girls love the summer and enjoy wearing what I make for them.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
I have averaged 25 new designs each year for a couple of years but have set a goal to double that amount this year.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
I love to make jewelry and have done so in the past. When I have some time, I would love to learn a bit more about what materials work best for that.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
I love my family and enjoy spending the day having a cookout, relaxing on the patio and visiting. If my family is not around, I enjoy crocheting while watching movies.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Yarn of the day, F, G and H hooks, and scissors.
