The Janey Doll

The Janey doll is fun and simple to make! She is stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges, French knots for the cheek dots, stem stitch for the mouth and blanket stitch for the rickrack on the dress. Only 4 pattern shapes are used to make the doll, and 2 are used for the dress. The doll head-body-arms-legs are all together in 1 pattern shape. Janey is made from scraps of wool felt (acrylic felt can be used but wool or wool blend will be more durable). Enlarge or reduce diagrams/patterns to make Janey different sizes. Safety eyes are used for sample dolls, but you can also use embroidery, paint or felt.
