Read more about this wonderful designer below.
Company Name: Tulip Square
Designer Name: Paulette Morrissey
Home State: Wisconsin
Design Specialty: Things not usually seen in crochet form
1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
I taught myself when I was pregnant with first child (40 years ago!), so I could make her a baby afghan and soft toys.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
Things I haven’t seen in crochet form before. And things that are fun to make over and over in different colors and sizes.
3 What are you most known for?
Animals that are easy to make, but fun to make over and over.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
I don’t need to -- I have more ideas rattling around in my head than I’ll ever be able to finish!
5 What season inspires you the most?
Winter, since I don’t spend much time outside.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
About 20 to 25. Not all are knit or crocheted, some are sewn, or other crafts.
7 Is there another craft you’d like to try your hand at?
No, I already do too many! Besides knitting and crocheting, I make and sell ooak polymer dolls and their clothing patterns, and I also make miniatures, make paper dolls, weave, quilt, bead, make greeting cards and do needlepoint.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Working on any of my needlework projects, or better yet, on several of them.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Notebook and pencil, digital pen and book, digital camera.
