1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
My mother and grandmother taught me how to knit and crochet. I would use my pocket money to buy stitch guides and patterns at the local yarn shop on my way home from school.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I enjoy working out the best way to make a simple, stylish garment that fits the upper body from size XS through XXL (30-50 inches or 32-52 inches, depending on garment type) and allows movement where it counts.
3 What are you most known for?
Probably my three "Pocket Pal" books of holiday decorations, and my little people (all about three inches tall).
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
Ideas are the easy part! Finding time to create and document them is the challenge.
5 What season inspires you the most?
I live in a climate with four seasons, and they all inspire me.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
It varies -- last year I designed 10.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Lying in a hammock or on the sofa in front of a roaring fire, knitting.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
A stitch gauge check, stitch markers, and a note pad.
