1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
I taught myself to sew at the same time that I started to design. I started by designing my own cloth diapers for my baby. My love for sewing and designing has evolved into a fantastic hobby and business.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I love making patterns that are focused on my family. Whatever I need the most is usually what I am designing at the time.
3 What are you most known for?
Cloth diapering has been where I have started and always love to revisit. Many of my products are for cloth diapers as well!
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
If I need something or have been dreaming up a design, it doesn't take much to get it started; it's finding the time to sit down and draw!
5 What season inspires you the most?
The summer. I love seeing my kids adorned in handmade clothes while they are running around on summer days!
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
I like to have a minimum of 2 per month, so about 24 per year. This doesn't include any free patterns that I put out.
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
Someday I would love to learn to knit!
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
I love to play with my 6 kids on the weekends and give them my full attention. When they go to bed, it's a toss-up between snuggling with my husband and diving into my Monday morning project a tad bit early.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
A seam ripper, my favorite scissors and a soft tape measure.
