1 How did you first get introduced to your craft?
About 14 years ago I was going through a divorce and I wanted something positive to focus on so I asked my aunt to teach me to crochet.
2 What type of patterns do you enjoy designing the most?
I love them all and I hate the idea of being limited to one area. Even if it is an area that I am not comfortable with I will keep working at it until I have mastered it to my satisfaction.
3 What are you most known for?
Being a busy mom with four teenage daughters, crocheting fits nicely into my life as I can take it anywhere. I’ve never been bored in a waiting room.
4 How do you jump-start your creativity?
If I’m in a slump, then a trip to the yarn shop, book store, or art gallery always inspires me.
5 What season inspires you the most?
Autumn -- I love the colors.
6 On average, how many new patterns do you design each year?
12-18 (and even at that I can’t keep up with my imagination)
7 Is there another craft you'd like to try your hand at?
I can’t think of a craft that I wouldn’t mind trying, but the top three would be spinning, pottery and quilting.
8 What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Curled up on the couch with a hot drink, yarn and a crochet hook.
9 What three items do you always have in your craft bag?
Yarn, crochet hook and scissors.
