Bailey the Bear

Technique - Sewing

Bailey the bear is fun and simple to make! Bailey is stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges and a straight stitch for the muzzle line. Only 3 pattern shapes are used to make this cuddly bear. Bailey's body, head, ears, arms and legs are all together in 1 pattern shape. It's made from scraps of wool felt (acrylic felt can be used but wool or wool blend will be more durable). Enlarge or reduce diagrams/patterns to make Bailey different sizes. Safety eyes are used for sample bears -- other options for the eyes are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt. This pattern includes full-size patterns to make Bailey with or without the muzzle; a materials list; detailed instructions written in English and clear, step-by-step photos.
