Jungle Animal Softies

Technique - Sewing

The jungle animal softies are fun and simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges, a running stitch across the arms and legs and a stem stitch for the muzzle on the monkey and stripes on the zebra. The body, head, ears, arms and legs are all together in 1 pattern shape for each animal -- they are not attached separately which can be time consuming and difficult. They are made from scraps of wool and acrylic felt. Enlarge or reduce patterns to make the animals different sizes. Safety eyes are used for sample animals -- other options for the eyes, are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt.
