Christmas Softies |
Technique - Sewing
These Christmas softies are fun and simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand using a whip stitch around the felt edges, a running stitch across the arms and legs, and a stem stitch for the mouths on the gingerbread man, reindeer and snowman. The body, head, arms, legs and ears (and antlers on the reindeer) are all together in 1 pattern shape for each softie -- they are not attached separately. They are made from scraps of felt. Enlarge or reduce patterns to make the softies different sizes. Safety eyes are used for samples -- other options for the eyes, are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt.
